Each year, ten amazing girls are selected from high schools across the greater Sacramento area and beyond. Our new team will be announced in February, followed by our first group meeting where we’ll get to know each other, brainstorm, and vote on 4–6 themed photoshoots for the year. Our first shoot kicks off in June!
At every session—both group and individual—you’ll get a variety of images that will be featured in MJSP marketing, social media, and Teen & Senior Magazine contests. (MJSP Senior Models have already been featured 12 times!) You’ll also have opportunities to collaborate with local boutiques, modeling their clothing and jewelry—with exclusive discounts if you want to purchase anything. Plus, we’ll sprinkle in fun events throughout the year to make the experience unforgettable!

My photography style is casual, fun, and stress-free, allowing genuine personalities, natural smiles, and real connections to shine. Sessions are relaxed and easygoing—so all you need to do is enjoy your time together while I capture authentic moments.
I photograph using natural light and work primarily on location, choosing settings that offer beautiful light and variety. From outdoor nature spots and rustic or urban backdrops to sessions in the comfort of your own home, each location is selected to best reflect your family’s style. Sessions are scheduled in the morning or late afternoon when the light is most flattering. Most sessions last around two hours, giving plenty of time for outfit changes, snack breaks, and little moments in between. I never rush—often the best images happen once everyone has had time to relax.
Family sessions include a mix of group and individual images and are always tailored to your family’s unique dynamic.
Maternity sessions are best scheduled between 33–36 weeks (or 30–33 weeks for petite moms) and are photographed outdoors in warm, natural light. I’ll guide you with posing and angles that highlight your beauty and celebrate this special season.
Newborn sessions are ideal within the first 2–14 days and take place in your home or my studio for a calm, cozy environment. All props are provided, and sessions are paced to keep baby comfortable while you relax.
For tiny tots and children, sessions are designed around play and exploration—especially outdoors—so their true personalities can shine.
Older children’s sessions are personalized around their interests, hobbies, and passions, creating images that truly reflect who they are at this stage of life.

If you are looking for a photographer to go above and beyond to get the best, genuine photos of your family, you've found the one! Molly is hands down my family's favorite photographer. She plans ahead, never makes you feel rushed and somehow always gets amazing shots even with the most finicky kids. We had the pleasure of having her capture our third child's first year of life. All I can say is I wish I had met her before having my first child. Our home is beautiful decorated by mostly Memory Lane. Molly’s friendly, welcoming personality made us feel comfortable immediately upon our arrival at her in-home studio. She discussed with us numerous ideas she generated for the photo session. Gallery reveal & ordering
Your experience begins with a simple online questionnaire. This helps me learn your style, personality, and overall vision so I can start building your custom session vision board. From there, we’ll meet to plan out all the fun details—outfits, locations, props, and the overall vibe you want. We’ll also talk through potential dates to find the perfect match for the look you’re going for. Once you’ve chosen your experience package and paid the retainer, your date is officially reserved!
Before your big day, I’ll send you the Senior Style Guide and check in with your experience schedule, directions, day-of tips, and answers to any questions you may have.
All sessions begin about two hours before sunset to take advantage of the most flattering natural light. Most shoots last between 1–2½ hours, depending on your outfit and location count. Be sure to bring water and a light snack—staying energized keeps you looking and feeling your best! I’ll bring a portable changing room for easy outfit swaps and will guide you through posing the entire time. My goal is to capture the real, authentic YOU in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.
After your session, I carefully select the best 30 images to fully edit. These will be added to a private online gallery for your reveal, which takes about one to two weeks. Once your gallery is ready, we’ll schedule a Reveal Session so you can see your portraits for the first time!
This is my favorite moment—watching you light up when you see your images. During your reveal, we’ll look through all of the products, and you’ll choose the package that fits you best. All orders are placed at this appointment. Your finished products will be ready in about two weeks.

We are proud to offer our clients a comprehensive location guide with the best spots in Sacramento and Placer Counties for senior photos. Organized into zones based on personal preferences and proximity, we’ll be able to walk through these various locations to select the perfect backdrops for your senior portraits.
Before your senior photo shoot, we will send you our Senior Style Guide to help you better prepare for your session. In the guide, you’ll learn all about what looks good on camera, how to incorporate variety into your wardrobe, and which accessories take your shoot from sweet to stunning. We will also discuss ideas for what to wear at your planning meeting.
Professional hair and makeup is highly recommended for your photo shoot. We have different session packages for you to choose from that give you levels of pampering for you special day! We have a talented team of professionals available to spoil you if you choose that level of session package.
Ideally, you should be taking your senior photos the summer before or the autumn of your senior year. If you prefer to take them in the Spring, you should be booking your shoot for no later than April to leave time for post-processing and product turnaround before graduation. Spring spots fill up quickly. Please book below as soon as possible if you hope to secure one of these spots.

We recommend at least three: one dressy, one casual and one that shows your interest. You are more than welcome to have up to six, but be mindful that if you have that many, then you won't be getting very many photos per outfit. These are just guidelines - you are welcome to bring as many as you want ;)

As the daughter of a talented artist, I grew up surrounded by creativity.
